Office of the Vice President The Business Operations Manager oversees and coordinates collegiate activities under the Chief Financial and Operations Officer in order to promote the safety, positive image and financial stability of the institution. Accounting & Finance

The Comptroller and Director of Fiscal Services for the college directs and manages the accounting, financial plan/budgets, procurement, accounts payable, contract management processes and procedures; and works together with the finance team to ensure a strong internal control environment for the college. The Finance Department is a service organization that provides support to the CFO/COO, his/her direct reports, and the college’s academic and administration business units.

Athletics

The Athletics Department oversees a 12-sport intercollegiate athletic program for both men and women at the college who compete in NJCAA Region 21. Additionally, the department oversees the college’s Fitness Center and recreational opportunities for all students, faculty and staff at the college. Buildings and Grounds The Facilities Division provides a full range of services, including the day-to-day maintenance of all buildings and grounds at the Haverhill and Lawrence Campuses. The Facilities Division ensures a safe working environment for all.
Facilities also coordinates many funded projects through the state of MA to beautify the campuses of Haverhill and Lawrence.

Events Management

The Events Management team oversees a myriad of services for the college and the community, such as working with the Community when there is a need for space to host a meeting or event at one of our Haverhill or Lawrence campuses. The office also oversees all internal space reservations that are not NECC academic/athletic related, as well as assists with managing all long-term space usage agreements between community partners. Events Management also coordinates all catering needs, food services, and the bookstore.

Human Resources The Human Resources Department supports employee needs regarding medical benefits, retirement, voluntary offerings, employee assistance programs and more. The HR team promotes staff safety by handling all staff concerns regarding Title IX issues (sexual harassment, discrimination, sexual assault, etc..) ADA accommodations and 504 compliance. Our team is here to support recruitment efforts, onboarding/orientation, annual evaluation process, employee relations, and ongoing challenges in the workplace. Information Technology / NOC

The Information Technology Services is responsible for ensuring all IT services at the College are running smoothly, promoting a positive learning environment. Comprising five
sub-departments, each sub-department is responsible for varying aspects of IT from networking, database and server maintenance to teleconference and smart classroom setup.

Police Academy

The NECC Police Academy was established in 2015 with the goal of bringing a state-of-the-art Police Academy to the region. Since 2015, the academy has graduated over 500 student officers from 72 municipal departments and 8 college/university departments.

The academy curriculum is organized into 3 “volumes” with 138 learning objectives and over 350 testable performance outcomes. Student officers partake in a 24-week training, consisting of over 800 hours of classroom instruction, skill development, and testing.

Public Safety / Campus Security

The NECC Department of Public Safety operates 24/7 on both the Lawrence and Haverhill campuses. The members of the Department hold a high commitment to our community by focusing on engaging with the community to create proactive solutions for keeping them safe while on campus, yet available to quickly react to incidents in progress.

The Department currently has 4 members of the police division, approximately 15 contract security guards, and a dispatch unit dedicated to professional communications. Our technology provides additional safety through cameras and
card access points on each campus. The Department maintains relationships with local, state and federal first responder agencies and partakes in regular training for all members.
