Institutional Capacity Assessment (ICAT)

The Institutional Capacity Assessment Tool (ICAT) is a survey designed by Achieving the Dream (AtD), focusing on seven broad capacity areas that AtD believes contribute to a student-focused culture. Responses to the survey highlight a college’s strengths in these seven areas, as well as opportunities for improvement. The survey is intended for a wide variety of college stakeholders. NECC first piloted this tool in the Integrated Student Experience goal team in fall 2016. Later, in spring 2017, all NECC faculty and staff were invited to complete the survey. Nearly 200 responses were recorded, and aggregate results were discussed in a World Cafe event at Fall 2017 Convocation. Those results are available below.
