The core document in a program’s outcomes assessment plan is the outcomes and curriculum map. This document includes the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Course Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) which demonstrate alignment by using identifiers (Introduced – I, Reinforced – R, & Emphasized – E) throughout the program/department. Programs typically develop these maps when they are in the process of a program review or through the annual assessment process.
