CIT-Center for Instructional Technology

The mission of the Center for Instructional Technology and Distance Learning is to provide instructional design and instructional technology support. CIT is committed to supporting pedagogy and enhancing learning by assisting faculty in the integration of academic technology into the curriculum in order to deliver quality education and challenge students to reach their highest potential.

The staff at CIT will work with you to maximize your instructional effectiveness. Our training is individualized and customized to meet your specific curriculum goals. Our trained instructional design staff will personalize a combination of demonstrations, workshops and individual coaching sessions to meet your needs.

Workshops

These workshops will focus on strategies and teaching practices for improving student engagement and retention in your online and traditional classes. 

All full-time and DCE faculty members will receive stipends for time spent on workshops. This includes attending the workshop, providing feedback by filling out a feedback form, and may include – reviewing pre-workshop materials, and scheduling a coaching session with CIT (if necessary) to implement the principles and practices discussed during the workshops.
